I make people and things look AWESOME ... Photographically
I love creating dynamic photographs. Sometimes people even give me money to do it. It makes sense, I’ve been creating images professionally for over thirty years, and I’ve become quite good at it. Though, when it comes to the paid stuff, some folks may be interested in a specific style or subject matter more than a photographer's potential. That's cool, I get it, brand and identity are important, and the way I shoot may not appear to be right for what some are envisioning for their project. Nevertheless, if you can articulate what you want, I have the productive acumen to achieve most any look and style you may need. Afterall, photography isn't as specialty critical as something like brain surgery or bomb disposal, it's more of an interpretive creative art. My visual arts background in drawing, painting, photography and 3D design has allowed me to be pretty resourceful and open to a diverse range of optics. I'm the kind of person that's always looking for new and different challenges to widen my skills and knowledge base. It's led me to heavily expand into professional video production, drone photography and high-end digital editing. I've honed myself into being a one-man production unit, a visual tactician. The experience I've gained and the techniques I've learned from decades of immersing myself into a wide array of artisitc disciplines have only fortified my analytical and creative expertise in a way concentration in a single specialty cannot. In the end, creativity has more to do with finding clever solutions to unexpected problems, and less to do with the ones that are easily anticipated.
I'm located in Charlotte, NC, but I also travel a lot for work. I'm fine with shooting indoors and outdoors, but I am more partial to being inside where I can really control the light. That's where I'm at my best. I cater mainly to commercial clients, but I am open to random personal assignments too. I don't typically offer all-purpose rates for my services; I estimate a cost based on the logistics required to produce the desired work. However, I'm open to negotiating and receptive to working with tight budgets ... Within reason, obviously.
Alright, I think that’s about it. I'm sure there’s probably other stuff I should mention, but it can wait for another time. I hope you like what you see and I look forward to the opportunity of working with you someday.
